This two Greenways together have about 160 km between Santa Eulalia (North of Teruel) and the coast city of Sagunto (very close to Valencia).

The route follows the old railway of the miner train. This railway was opened begining of the 20th Century, the train links the mines of Ojes Negros with the port of Sagunto. In the old days, these iron mines where the most important ones in the country. They were not mines underground, but at open air, so the mineral was quite ease to extract. Not having any industry arround the mines, the owners decided to build railway to Sagunto, instead of using the existing railway that already existed for passengers. This is by during many stretches of the route the Greenway goes paralell to the passanger railway still in use.

 

We had two days for making the greenway, so we decided to make only from Valdecebros to Segorbe, that in our opinion is the nicest part of the route.

It is perfectly signposted, the greenway has a good and even surface (compacted soil), and you will never shate your way with the cars.

When planing the route take into account the profile. From Valdecebros to Segorbe it is mostly down hill, and even if you always have to pedal, the 105km are not so demanding. In the other direction, you have to climp 1420m of height, so the 105 km are much more demanding !

This is a windy region, so don't forget also to check the wind direction beforehand. It normally blows from the sea to the inland, so helping you in tougher day, but it by chance you have the wind on your face in your way back to Valdecebro, this will be a really hard day !

	Estamos pensando en hacer la via verde este Otoño. ¿ alguien sabe si la via verde se ha visto afectada por los incendios forestales de este verano ?

	Los incendios no han afectado las zonas por las que transcurre la vía verde. Podéis hacerla tranquilos.
